Supervision

A SPACE TO DEEPEN, REFLECT AND BE HELD

Who I work with

  • Craniosacral therapists

  • Craniosacral therapists who are working with craniosacral therapy skills online.

  • Prenatal & birth therapists and practitioners who have a particular interest in the pre- and perinatal field

  • Practitioners working somatically, Focusing practitioners, Trauma therapists

My approach to supervision

I trained as a supervisor with the Centre for Supervision, Training and Development (CSTD).

My supervision is informed by the 7-eyed model of supervision developed by R. Shohet and P. Hawkings that was taught in my training and Ray Castellino’s supervision form, as I experienced in my own supervision.

I invite you into a safe, confidential and collaborative space in which you can:

  • Stand back and reflect on your relationship with the work.

  • Get to know your learning edges and develop insights.

  • Explore specific client issues.

  • Explore the client-practitioner relationship, including transference and countertransference.

  • Develop and grow your professional identity in the context you are working in.

  • Develop and grow a practice that is authentic and congruent to your own values as a practitioner.

  • Share challenges, fears and successes.

  • Be supported.

When and Where

I work both online via Zoom and in person in Bristol, UK.

The length, duration and frequency of sessions will depend on your intention for supervision and the focus / size of your practice. We can discuss it in the introductory call.

My experience

I trained as a supervisor with the Centre for Supervision, Training and Development (CSTD).

I have had regular supervision since the start of my practice, in person and online, individually and in a group. I am also part of a peer group. From the very beginning, supervision has been one my ‘layers of support’ and a very important part of taking care of myself, staying open to new learning, ongoing self-development, self-awareness and commitment to professional development.

As a practitioner, I trained at the Karuna Institute in biodynamic craniosacral therapy initially, then prenatal and birth therapy. I have been in private practice for over 10 years in Bristol as a biodynamic craniosacral therapist with focus on prenatal and birth experiences and trauma. Since March 2020 I have also worked online with biodynamic craniosacral therapy skills, prenatal & birth therapy and mindful enquiry.

I am an assistant on postgraduate trainings in craniosacral biodynamics and prenatal & birth therapy with Cherionna Menzam-Sills.

As a practitioner, I have particular experience with: working with stress and trauma, working with prenatal and birth experiences and trauma with adults, working with prenatal and birth trauma with children and parents, working with adoptive families, working online with craniosacral therapy skills, long-term work.

If you would like to know more about supervision, have a question or would like to book an introductory call, I invite you to fill in the enquiry form.
